US Summer Analyst Program

Summer Analyst Opportunities in the US

For juniors, we offer a 10-week rotational program across our different business areas within the US Global Banking & Markets division. These are open to students from all academic disciplines who can demonstrate an interest in banking and finance. Our Summer Analyst program begins mid June and we offer placements in both Stamford and Boston.

Our Summer Analyst Program is a great way to gain insight into the world of GBM. It offers valuable, real experience and could help you secure a place in our analyst program the following year.

We recruit Summer Analysts into:

Markets (Sales, Trading, Research/Strategy and Structuring)
Capital Markets (Debt Capital Markets, Loan and High Yield Markets, Corporate Risk Solutions, Syndicate)
Banking (Coverage & Advisory, Portfolio Management, Credit and Corporate Financial Analysis)

Following a one week orientation, where you’ll learn market basics and meet your new colleagues, you’ll undertake two rotations within your chosen area, learning from leading banking professionals and gaining hands-on experience. Throughout, you’ll have the chance to attend a number of high-profile networking and educational events. We’ll also assign you a buddy and a mentor to guide you throughout the ten weeks.

You’ll find out what differentiates us from other banks and what helps people to flourish here. We’ll also give you the chance to showcase your talents. Last year, 70% of our interns globally went on to be offered full-time analyst positions. So, if you want to get a head start, an internship is a great opportunity to do so.

To apply for a summer analyst position we advise you to think carefully about which area best suits your skill set and interests.  Once you have considered your options and are ready to apply please contact your on-campus career services center as well as completing an online application form.

Closing date for applications differs by school – please contact your career services for more details.

Applications from schools that we are not interviewing on campus must apply directly using the online application form by February 15th, 2010.
