Summer Internships
Internships for penultimate year students
For penultimate year students, we offer a range of ten-week to 6-month internships across all our different business areas. These are open to students from all academic disciplines who can demonstrate an interest in banking and finance. They are normally held in the summer, but for students in mainland Europe we offer alternative opportunities throughout the year.
After a one-week orientation, when you will learn market basics and meet your new colleagues, you will spend the remaining nine weeks learning from leading banking professionals and gaining hands-on experience. Throughout, you will have the chance to attend a number of high-profile networking events. We’ll also assign you a buddy and a mentor to guide you throughout the ten weeks.
We give all our interns the opportunity to experience a number of different business areas within GBM. By rotating between different areas, you’ll find out what makes us different to other banks and what helps people to flourish here. We will also give you the chance to showcase your talents. Perform well, and we’ll offer you a graduate position for the following year.

- GBM Banking - Closing date 28th February, 2010 - you will gain real experience with rotations across Coverage & Advisory, Portfolio Management and Origination.
