Corporate debt remains a huge part of our business. Join the team here and you’ll help our clients optimise their finances – by coming up with new solutions for debt funding.

Origination analysts lay the groundwork for our corporate debt and fixed-income transactions. They support our senior bankers by sourcing, structuring and pricing transactions from a range of debt products for both corporations and financial institutions. As well as servicing our existing clients, they also identify and pitch to new prospects wanting to raise capital in the debt markets.

Graduates on this programme have the opportunity to progress into any one of our specialist teams. These include Financial Institution and Corporate Debt Capital, Syndicate, Loan Markets, Secured Debt Markets, Non-Investment Grade, Primary Bonds as well as Emerging Market Debt. Each of these teams is a market leader in their own right, and many frequently top their industry tables.

Expect a varied workload with real responsibility. You will work as part of deal teams, often on a number of live transactions with tight deadlines. Analysts spend much of their time modelling balance sheets and gathering data on markets, companies and sectors. Working towards client pitches, attending meetings and preparing updates are also an integral part of the role.

What we look for
Because this role is highly quantitative, we’re looking for individuals with strong mathematical abilities. You’ll certainly need to be a good team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a keen interest in the financial markets. Creativity, intuition and intellectual curiosity are also highly valuable qualities.
