A leader in Asset Finance
Our Asset Finance business – Lombard is an exciting and dynamic place to work. We employ more than 1,600 people across the UK, finance over £10 billion of assets and have a customer base that ranges from small businesses through to large corporations. Our graduate scheme is an opportunity to develop your career in a Head Office environment within an end-to-end business, giving you the foundation you need to become a business leader.

A diverse scheme
Our graduate scheme will give you exposure to a wide range of people and projects, as well as a high level overview of our business. You’ll be expected to understand our different products and to complete a Certification of Credit, core level in PK training and insurance accreditation.

Different rotations
Your first year will involve two six-month rotations in our Operations and Strategy & Business Improvement functions. This will give you the chance to undertake challenging, high profile, business-specific projects. These projects will enable you to work closely with our Executive Committee and although you’ll have plenty of support behind you, over time you’ll work more and more independently. You’ll also undertake a secondment into a sales environment for a month. During your first year, you can expect to see how key business decisions are made and you’ll be able to influence the environment you work in. After that, you’ll move into a customer facing role.

Drive your own development
The amount of freedom you have will be in your own hands and you’ll be encouraged to drive your own development. At the same time, we’re committed to making sure everyone has all the tools they need to fulfil their potential. Not only will you have the support you need to do your job well now, we’ll also make sure you’re able to improve your performance and develop in the future. During your first year, you’ll be encouraged to apply for our talent Programme.

What we’ll be looking for
You don’t need any specific experience but we’ll be looking for a real commitment to working in the financial services industry. Highly self-aware and self-driven, you’ll be able to drive continuous improvement by challenging processes and procedures, as well as by influencing and winning the support of the business. The ability to network is also important as you’ll have exposure to a wide range of individuals, including senior managers.
